If you are interested in secrets of the past it is necessary for you to visit Tamgaly Tas. There and only there you can see rock paintings on Buddhism subjects; it is so unusual for our region. On black mysterious rocks the set of petrogliphs, images of deities, late Buddahism inscriptions were saved, the sense and value of which is unknown and should be solved. There it is possible to see a set of XII century drawings, and ancient Turkic rune inscriptions which are dated to VIII-IX century. In springs Tamgaly Tas is the place of annual bard festival «Lilac wind» which is accompanied by the Ili-Balkhash regatta.
